In the early part of the Covid outbreak, an upcoming Bollywood actor was found dead, hanging from a fan in his apartment. Many conspiracy theories were floated for his death. Especially since he was considered an intelligent actor and many people were unable to attribute poor mental health to him. Suicide, homicide, or political murder, India went wild with speculation. Something that came up in the conspiracy claims and counterclaims was that he was suffering from depression. He was also getting medical treatment for the depression. It involved both psychotherapy and medication.

Whatever the cause of his death, SSR had stopped taking his depression medicines around the time of his death. He was also not in touch with his therapist.

The most complex part of the issue was that his interpersonal issues were all over the place. He had a complicated family (dont we all!) with no communication for several years with his very angry father. He happened to be very close to his mother who had died of natural causes when he was sixteen years old. He also has four very vocal elder sisters. One of whom was on an active crusade, in a very American way, to find a “reason” (read person responsible) for his death. In that quest to “punish SOMEONE” for her brother…
